The Program is designed for young people between the ages of 15 to 24.
Program Design:
The learning process will be highly interactive and will require participants to work both independently and in small groups. Content experts will be brought in occasionally to speak on specific topics.
Phase One: Honesty, Respect, Bravery, Truth, Love and Humility.
Phase Two: Unity, Cooperative Economics, Self-determination, Purpose, Creativity, Responsibility and Faith.
Statement Of Concerns:
The strategies used by faith communities to shape the moral consciousness of young people must address two fundamental issues.
1. The problem of identity among young people.
2. The increased number of people who are not connect to a faith community.
Accordingly, the challenge facing many faith communities is how to work with formal and informal social structures within the youth culture to enhance the faith communities, cultures, historical and theological competence to educate young people. In this regard, there are an increasing number of faith communities who are incorporating the concepts of Rites Of Passage into their programs.
